International Day of Peace

Today was the UN International Day of Peace. As much as this is an attempt at a Global cease fire for one day, it is also an action of eschatological memory – we remember those who have been hurt by violence, in particular war, and we continually move towards ending the violence. Here at Union we are nearing the end of a 24 hour vigil in the small chapel, amongst other remembrance activities. Please be mindful of and remember that a state of violence and war is not something we should be fine with and that it is the Christian call to make peace the way Christ did.
